Booking terms

Plain terms for every stay.

These apply to bookings made on this website, by phone, or on WhatsApp. The figures come from our current policy and may change for future bookings; the terms you accept when booking are the ones that apply.

  1. Holding a room. A booking made on our website holds the room for 4 hours. It is confirmed when we receive a deposit of 1 night, or when we confirm it directly with you. Unconfirmed holds end automatically and we will let you know.
  2. Deposit. The deposit is paid by MoMo or card through Paystack, or by MoMo to the lodge on 059 742 6143 (Philip Ataarem / Restall Guest Lodge), and is credited to your bill at checkout.
  3. Cancellation. Cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before check-in and we refund your deposit within 7 working days to the same MoMo number or card. Inside that window the deposit is kept.
  4. No-show. If you have not arrived or contacted us by 23:59 on your arrival date, we treat the booking as a no-show, keep the deposit, and release the room.
  5. Early departure. Nights already used are charged. Unused nights are refunded only if you tell us before the night begins.
  6. Extending your stay. Extra nights are welcome subject to availability, at the current rate, paid before the extended stay begins.
  7. Check-in and check-out. Check-in from 14:00, check-out by 12:00. Early check-in on request. Late check-out on request, charged at GHS 45.00 an hour for Budget and Standard rooms and GHS 55.00 an hour for Executive and Super Executive rooms.
  8. Identity. Every adult presents a valid identity document at check-in.
  9. Payment at the lodge. Cash in Ghana cedis or MoMo. Your bill is settled at checkout and you receive a receipt.
  10. Group bookings. Bookings of three or more rooms are subject to a written agreement on deposit and cancellation.
  11. Your room and conduct. Guests are responsible for damage to the room. We may refuse or end a stay for behaviour that disturbs other guests.
  12. Children. Children up to 6 years stay free in a parent's room.
  13. Breakfast. Breakfast is included in the room rate, for one guest in Budget and Standard rooms and for two in Executive and Super Executive rooms.
